Health Check
Regular health checks and servicing should be a vital element of your computer's working life.
Why put up with slow performance, annoying popups and random freezing or errors?
Why should my PC have a Health Check or Service?
- A health check can avoid costly computer repairs and data loss by detecting failing components
- A service will improve the efficiency and performance of the system
What does a Heath-Check or Service include?
- Hardware diagnostic tests on CPU, hard drive, processor and memory
- Software and driver versions checked and updated if necessary
- Test for curruption or damage to the disk file system.
- A full scan for viruses, spyware and trojans.
- Removal of 'built up' junk including temporary files and cookies
- Defragmenting the disk to improve disk performance
- Review of the current hardware and advice where necessary on any upgrades to help improve performance
- Removal of unnecessary software programs from starting automatically when Windows boots
How often and how much?
A service is recommended every 6 to 12 months although this depends on how much you use your PC.
Faults can develop at any time due to many factors, such as voltage spikes, improper shut down, etc. A regular service will help detect impending failure before it causes problems.
